PRIORITIES
Focused on Practical Solutions
for the 49th Ward
These priorities reflect the areas where I believe local government can make a real difference in the daily lives of residents.
The goal is straightforward: safer neighborhoods, stronger communities, and a local economy that works for everyone in Rogers Park.
Public Safety & Neighborhood Vitality
Safe, well-maintained neighborhoods are the foundation of a strong community.
I will focus on improving coordination between residents, city services, and public safety resources to address concerns quickly and consistently. This includes cleaner streets, faster response to service issues, and stronger neighborhood-level collaboration to improve quality of life.
Affordable Housing & Community Stability
Rogers Park should remain a place where people can live, stay, and build their future.
I will support policies and initiatives that protect affordability, encourage responsible development, and reduce displacement pressures. The focus is on stability—so long-time residents and new families can remain part of the community.
Economic Growth & Workforce Development
A strong neighborhood economy depends on strong local connections.
I will work to support small businesses, reduce barriers to storefront occupancy, and connect residents to job opportunities and training programs. Strengthening local commerce strengthens the entire community.
HOW THESE PRIORITIES CONNECT
These are not separate issues—they are interconnected.
When neighborhoods are safe, businesses thrive.
When housing is stable, families stay rooted.
When opportunity grows, the whole community benefits.
WHAT THIS MEANS AS YOUR ALDERPERSON
My role will be to bring together residents, businesses, city departments, and community organizations to turn these priorities into action.
Not through top-down decisions—but through coordination, responsiveness, and consistent follow-through.
