Help Bill Morton Get on the Ballot: Petition Circulators Needed
Our campaign to bring responsive, transparent, and accountable leadership to Chicago’s 49th Ward is moving forward, and we’re inviting more neighbors to get involved.
Bill Morton’s campaign for 49th Ward Alderperson is seeking petition circulators and volunteers to help build a strong grassroots effort across Rogers Park and the ward.
Every conversation with a neighbor, every signature from an eligible voter, and every volunteer hour helps give voters a choice in February 2027.
Help Us Meet the Deadline: Petition Circulators Needed
The Chicago Board of Election Commissioners has established Monday, October 26, 2026, as the final day to file nominating petitions for the February 2027 municipal election. The filing period opens Monday, October 19th.
With the filing deadline approaching, we welcome people who are willing to lend a hand. Whether you have experience circulating petitions or are interested in helping a neighborhood campaign for the first time, your participation can make a difference.
We're looking for people who can help with petition circulation, connect with eligible voters, and support the campaign's final organizing efforts.
A Campaign Built Around Our Neighborhood
ABOUT WILLIAM "BILL" MORTON* Bill Morton has been part of Rogers Park since 2006 and founded the Rogers Park Chamber of Commerce in 2009, building an organization dedicated to supporting local businesses, connecting neighbors, and strengthening our neighborhood's commercial districts. As Chamber president for over 15 years, he has worked to promote local businesses, share community information, and create opportunities for residents and business owners to connect.
His community involvement extends beyond the business community. Bill has participated in local school and park advisory efforts, recognizing the important role that Local School Councils (LSCs) and park advisory councils play in giving residents a voice in the institutions and public spaces that serve our community. Through local media and public-access programming, he has also helped bring neighborhood issues, community voices, and local stories to a wider audience.
Now, Bill is bringing that experience to his campaign for 49th Ward Alderperson, with a focus on public safety and neighborhood vitality, affordable housing and community stability, and economic growth and workforce development. He believes our neighborhood benefits when residents are heard, local businesses have opportunities to succeed, and government is accessible, transparent, and accountable to the people it serves. His campaign is built on a straightforward principle: our neighborhood deserves leadership that listens, brings people together, and gets things done.

We believe residents deserve an alderperson who is accessible, transparent, accountable, and willing to hear from people across the 49th Ward.
